A close friend and I acquired this car a performance enthusiast in Chicago. He was a jet mechanic for a large airline and brought his attention to detail to the build. No where is this more apparent than the careful routing of the oil dry-sump lines.
The engine is a modified crate motor, stroked with competition cams. The car includes a build book with all of the internals and specifications which is very helpful when diagnosing and tuning. The car features a 700 R4 4 speed automatic. There is an over-drive installed but is currently not working. I never fixed it because I was planning on a Tremec TKO swap. The sale includes a clutch master cylinder and the pedals specific to this car if the new owner moves forward with the conversion.
The chassis has 76k miles, however, I don"t know the actual miles on the motor. I drive the car about 10 miles a week during the driving season and my good friend drove it less. Between the two of us, we have owned the car about 6-7 years.
Recently, I had the car tuned, oil change (11 quarts mobile 1 synthetic), new MSD computer and distributor, re-seated the intake manifold (to fix an oil leak), new plugs, wires, socks etc. I also installed two new Parelli tires (45s) to fit the 16in Center Line wheels. The car is currently inspected in the state of PA and has minimally complaint catalytic converters.
In terms of flaws, there are two or three rust spots emerging from the paint on the roof and near the gas cap. The front bumper has a small crack and scuffing where I touched a curb (the car is low so you have to be careful). The air conditioner works but needs to be recharged. Cruise control is no longer hooked up. There are a few small oil leaks to tackle but my mechanic suggested that"s to be expected and fixed opportunistically.
