BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This Az car is very solid car which did get some rust in a few
spots from the inside out (not from road salt)
Of course it has alot of surface rust, but its far from a rust bucket.
The Az climate has been good to the sheetmetal. Interior, not so much.
But being a factory stick, diesel with ac makes it savable. Check out the
bed and tailgate, both in amazing shape. Fixable ? sure. .but you need know
and check out all the pics below. Some people just may want this as
a parts car, some would say Save it and restore it. It could easily go
either way. Paint also is dry and flat, but its original so nothing hiding
underneath. Cool patina.
Does come with keys so the steering wheel wont be locked
But Ive not tried to start it, really no point as some stuff is off
the motor.

DRIVETRAIN: under the hood is the original VW diesel engine
matted to a manual transmission. Not sure but think its a 5 spd.
Being a diesel, with a little work it would prob come back to life
and be driveable again. Some stuff was unbolted off the motor
(see pics) but think they are loose in a box of parts that comes with it.
Its not run in about 10 yrs. Pretty sure the brakes still work, but I
can double check.
INTERIOR: take a look at pics its mostly complete, but again
it took some beating due to the az heat and just age.
Glass all looks to be okay . Burgundy interior would of looked cool
with the gold exterior. Both doors open and close fine. Comes with 1 key.

EXTERIOR: you are looking at what Im sure is whats left of the
Original gold paint. Knowing that we also know its not been in any
major accidents etc. No signs of bondo or previous repairs. The AZ
climate has been very good to the VW Sheetmetal. A few dents, yeah
but solid body. Grill is missing, or part of it comes with it, but broken.
Tires hold air, but thats about it. SEE PICS AND VIDEO !
SUSPENSION: the suspension looks pretty much like the way
it came from the factory and complete . Rest of it all looks
pretty clean and stock.
Shows about 80k miles on the odometer.
Not sure if its rolled over or not.
Being an 81 and been off the road for many yrs it
easily could be orig mileage.
Check out ALL 100+ the pics below - - -> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100+ large pics.
