About this vehicle This 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Vehicle Details Another nice classic Benz for Sale. I don't know much about the car since it was purchased from and estate in Austin and I drove it to Houston and it was parked for st least 5 years. I changed the spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap. Now it runs and drives good engine and transmission are in great shape. Tires and brakes are almost new, ac/Heat work, and the seats look to have been reupholstered in black mb tex. As for the issues it needs suspension. Upper and lower control arm, shocks and springs. Also I think the sway bar linkage may need to be replaced. The previous owner did some body work and had it painted but it looks horrible and will need to paint it again. Headliner needs attention as well. I couldn't take the Top off since it was too heavy but I can say the convertible top is in good shape.
