1981 Fiat 124 Spider SPIDER Up for sale is a nice1981 Fiat Spider 2000 50th Anniversary edition with 77000k original miles. In1981 only 1000 of these anniversary edition cars were made, every car was numbered this being number 137. This car is original and would need a full restoration to be perfect. I have owned the car for about 7 years. I have enjoyed the car and been to many cruise nights with her It is a blast to drive. The car is a driver not a museum piece. I am the 2nd owner of the car the prior owner painted it Red will not take credit for this paint job. nevertheless, the car is a solid runner and is in great shape over all as a driver. I would drive this car anywhere it runs very strong and great on gas. The only major issue is the trans the 2nd gear has an issue but is very functional, the stick will pop out of gear or sometime will have an issue going into 2nd gear at higher speeds. I had a mechanic look at it he said it needed synchro adjusted or replaced. re upholstered front seats and installed new top with custom rimes and tires it looks very nice. All maintenance has been done replaced the timing chain and the engine is very strong and in great shape 100%. the engine gone through. The car has never been in any accidents. The Fiat is powered by a 2.0L DOHC inline four paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. Car is an absolute blast to drive and runs like it did in 81". The car is currently wearing custom wheels and new tires with a complete brake job. I do have boxes of additional parts and a set of manuals that will go with the car.
