Vehicle description
This car was imported from the Netherlands in 1980 and was approved for the road by the EPA and the US Safety Counsel.
The car was completed in 1979 after which the government tested the vehicle for safety, road worthiness, proper suspension, brake system etc.
Hand build in the Netherlands the car has been extensively driven on the German Autobahn and handles like a dream.
Build around a VW pan chassis with four wheel independent suspension, the car is powered by a six cylinder Ford engine and is coupled to a five speed Porche transmission.
The interior is custom fabricated as well and the car is equipped with Blaupunkt audio system and an hidden antenna.
It seats two adults and two small children but safety seats are not provided.
The car has been stored since early 2000 and the engine is completely filled with oil to prevent corrosion.
After several moves the coolant supply and return lines have been lost. The California sun has deteriorated the lacquer which was top of the line BMW material at the time the car was build.
Currently it is looking for a good home and a new owner who wants to restore it to its original glory.
