Vehicle description
For sale 1979 International Scout II Midas Edition. This rig has many added factory options such as: Dual sunroofs, Front swivel bucket seats, rally rims, cruise control, custom paint scheme, roof rack, and clock. The rig has 74,563 ORIGINAL miles. I purchased it in 2010 and brought it to Iowa. I am the 3rd owner. It spent its entire life in NE Colorado and NW Nebraska in the high dry plains.
While in my care I have done the following repairs/upgrades:
Hamilton Fuel Injection system (Installed by Anything Scout) Rebuilt steering box Rebuilt tie rod ends (Anything Scout) New radiator (Anything Scout) New stereo and speakers (Anything Scout) New A/C compressor and receiver drier Rebuilt Transmission (approx 8,000 miles on it) Rebuilt shifter linkage Valve cover gaskets Front main seal Other various seals New tires 90% currently New Battery
Everything operates and works as it should other than the dome light, dash clock, and the cruise control which I had disconnected. All the outside lights work. High/low beam, blinkers, back up lights. All the gauge lights work, dash indicator light works. Wipe/wash works. Intermittent wipers work. All the windows roll down or open like they should, including the sunroofs. Doors open and latch great and they all lock. Have original manuals, advertising, and paperwork for almost the entire life of the rig. Transmission was rebuilt just prior to my ownership in the mid 2000s.
I only drove this in the summer time. Otherwise it was stored inside on concrete. Has a few dents, but the paint is very good and the rust is very minimal compared to your average Scout.
I hate to see it go, but I can’t justify it with a growing family. Would be an excellent restore project or leave as is and enjoy. Payment due within 10 days. $500 PayPal deposit required within 48 hours. Vehicle must be picked up by 30 days. Title in hand. 712 540 1259
