Vehicle description
We are relisting this due to a non responsive winning bidder from yesterday. To try to prevent this from happening again, please send us a message if you are bidding on this vehicle so we know you are a real person with honest intentions. This sale is for serious buyers only. If you cannot pay the $1000 deposit within the first 24 hours, and pay the balance in 3 days, please do not bid. Also, if you win, please contact us after the auction ends so we can discuss payment and schedule a time for pick-up.
This Scout II has been sitting for 5 years. It is a 1 owner vehicle that was purchased new in 1979. It has 34313 Original Miles. It runs and drives but the fuel is several years old. It is has a 345 4 Barrel with automatic transmission. The motor turns freely and it runs strong, we just did not want to run it very long due to the old fuel. There is some rust in the body. The front floorboards are intact, there is some rust in the fenders, the rocker panels and the rear quarters. The vehicle was originally mint green, but was repainted beige by the Dealership because of low sales numbers of green vehicles that year. The passenger side mirror is missing, however the spare tire, spare tire cover, hardware, jack, and jack tools are included just not pictured. The passenger side door does not open. I believe that part of the linkage has come apart. We have a clear PA title, 1 ignition key and factory stampings for duplicate keys. This vehicle was touched up for preservation purposes, it is by no means "show quality". This vehicle is in need of bodywork and some replacement steel panels. Please look at all the pictures to see the body rust. The front bumper is in good condition and is chrome. The rear bumper is straight but has some rust in the center. The tires have some small cracks in them, but are holding air just fine. The frame seems to be solid without any structural issues. There are some dings and dents throughout the vehicle. I believe that the engine will run great once the fuel is replaced with fresh fuel, the battery is several years old and weak. The interior is complete and in reasonable condition. The pictures show the rocker panel rust as well as the rust in the bottom of the tailgate. If you have any questions, please ask them or come see the vehicle if possible before the auction ends. This vehicle is need of a restoration. If there are any parts of the vehicle that are not shown in the pictures, please contact me and we can send you more details of any specific area. This Scout II is sold "as is" and there is no warranty expressed or implied. Due to the overwhelming amount of emails that we received trying to sell this vehicle locally, we just did not have the time to respond back to everyone. Please send a message if you have any questions. We will respond back to everyone as soon as possible. Thank you.
Also, please communicate with us, ask questions and reach out to us. We have had problems in the past when a buyer wins. . then disappears. If you are the winning bidder, please reach out to us and send us a message so we can exchange phone numbers and discuss payment, pick-up and if we can assist you in finding transport options if needed. Thank you.
