“This is one of those California no rust trucks in process of restoration. The motor and heads are at the machine shop and will be finished next week. We are going through the transmission. The carb is rebuilt, so are the alternator and starter. The suspension is already done with a mild lift and it already has new tires and rims. We are going to convert the AC system to 134a and install all new AC pump, dryer and hoses. The truck is now getting final body work and being prepared for paint. The interior is done and waiting to go in, it has a roll bar that will be powder coated, and it also has its original removable fiberglass top, Then all it needs is a sound system and it will be one sweet little truck with -0- miles on a fresh restoration!!” |

Vehicle description
I was driving home after work one day and in the front yard of a house not far from my shop I saw this Scout with a for sale sign on it. It wasn"t there the day before. So I stopped, knocked on the door and talked to the owner. He showed me around it - solid little truck with no major rust anywhere. He said it needed a motor rebuild but the suspension and running gear were done, tires and rims new and he had given it a mild lift, had also reupholstered the seats. It was so good I bought it and brought it to my shop the next day. Everything is in process now. As I already wrote, the motor and head machine work are almost done, other parts already rebuilt and as the photos show, a lot of body work is also done. The bodywork will be finished end of next week. It"s time to choose the paint color and the stripe design. But here" s the problem - I"m not making this for me, it"s for you! I have a restoration company and my mission is to turn out beautiful projects for my clients. So I want it to have your choice of paint color, your sound system and final touches, not mine. Its original color is orange but tell me what you want and we"ll complete this Scout as your own personal restoration. And just so you know, we"re really good at this. We got our photos with Mr. Car Guy at the Pasadena Art Center where we showed a 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal we restored. It had no problem being in the company of a whole lot of multi-million dollar cars. I added a couple of photos from Pasadena so you can see what I mean, also of another truck project. So let"s work together and make this truck just what you want. Call me with any questions and let"s get started!. Thanks!
