1978 Pontiac Catalina Grand Safari Wagon. Purchased from the original owner. Great riding old wagon with many new parts. (see list below)
If you are looking for a solid older wagon this is certainly a contender. Very decent car and a comfortable highway traveler with room for the whole family. Starts right up every time. I have found that it does need a good solid warm-up before driving or it will have some hesitation. However, once it"s warmed up I"ve had zero trouble at all. Heat works great on these really cold days however the AC is locked up and will need replacement.
Driveability; drives very well once warmed up adequately very smooth and pleasant driver
Exterior; Very decent for age has expected wear paint is good all-around fair condition on the hood and roof area. Could use a good buff. Some rock chips scratched and uneven shading in areas but decent for its age. Scratches minor surface rust under spare tire well and dent on drivers rear quarter. (See pictures)
Interior; Good condition for its age seats have no heavy wear or rips in the vinyl, carpets have minor wear and are in good condition, the dash is crack-free, interior moldings and trim a very presentable I did notice one crack in the trim but is not that noticeable. Visors and headliners are in great shape. Manual locks and windows work properly as well as the power lock and window on the tailgate. AM/FM radio works reception is spotty. The clock is not working. (see pictures)
It is highly recommended that any potential buyer inspect and test drive the car prior to purchase. It is by no means a show car but a solid old wagon with a lot of life left to enjoy.
