I ran out of time and energy to restore this SJ to a Firecracker Red, Cherokee Chief 2 owners: Southern Calif (1978-2001), Me (Minnesota garage 2001-present); no salt exposure Driving condition, insured with clear title
Oxidized factory paint job. 3 volume manual, Chief decals and paint chip instructions included (see photo)
Chassis, frame, doors are rust free. Rust limited to right rear wheel flare and right rear turn signal. MSD Offroad 6 ignition with MSD coil and distributor Wiper, lights, gauges & heat all work. Functioning rear power window. No A/C Quadra-Trac full time 4WD with working high/low gears and Emergency Drive option. Michelin LTX A/T tires with plenty of tread. Good brakes, new master cylinder. Emergency brake disconnected. Rear Air shocks Original tilting front seats and fold & tumble rear bench seat (all need re-upholstering) Interior panels all removed and saved for restoration.
