This is a very nice, very clean Scout. Getting in this car is like stepping back into the 70"s. It has an original interior in excellent condition. Fresh repaint done in Glasurit 22 line, single stage paint. You are more than welcome to come take a close look at this car, inside and out. Runs beautifully, smooth shifting. All body panels are RUST FREE. The truck looks just as good underneath as it does on top. Body off restoration, new floor boards, and cross beams, new old stock quarter panels. Please check photos. Vehicle drives straight, there"s a steering reinforcement that they sell for these cars, that I installed to improve the handling. I also have a steering damper that I have not installed yet, that I will pass on to you. The motor was not overhauled, but the freeze-out plugs and all the gaskets were changed. The carburetor was rebuilt, there are no leaks in the motor. We did a compression test on the engine, and it was good. All the cylinders were even. Top is in excellent shape no rust, there is a headliner, the transmission is a brand new NOS transmission, from Iowa from dealer stock. That"s what I was told from the person that I got it from. Brakes are good. I believe that the mileage is true 31.5k miles. The condition of the original interior and seats, and the compression test on the block is consistent with the mileage. The truck originally came from Colorado, so the little rust that the body originally had was not from salt, but from mud caked on. All the lights and electrical including the radio work. This truck gets taken out on the weekends. It is a very nice driving truck. It"s not perfect, but it is very close to it. It is a very nice 40 year old truck that will last at least another 40 years.
