For sale is an amazing, all original, one owner 78 Fiat X1/9 targa convertible.
In 1978 the owner bought it new in California and drove it regularly up until 2003, frequently making trips back and forth from California to Nevada.
This car has been parked and stored away in a garage from 2003 up until this year 2018 making it a real barn find (garage car in nearly perfect original condition).
According to the orginal owner the Fiat has 25,000 miles on the current engine and 156,000 on the body, it had been well maintained by the same local fiat mechanic for 25 years. (78-03)

If you don"t already know about the Fiat X1/9 it is an impressive little sports car with high standards in road handling performance, as well as 4 wheel disk brakes and a mid engine design usually only found in very high end exotic cars.
In the FIat X1/9 you will find yourself greatly enjoying the maneuverability and parking opportunities that this small sports car has to offer, and who needs air-conditioning when you have a lightweight easy to remove targa top that stores in the trunk anytime anywhere.
Rust Free -
The only rust I can find on this car is around the windshield spray nossle, which is seemingly an issue that is related to the temperature and pressure in the washer fluid bottle that pushes water out during its lifetime.
As you can see in the pictures this car is amazingly rust free showing none of the typical rust under the doors or any leaves clogging up drains, it seems as though it has never seen a tree.
The pictures really tell the story of the condition, to find a vintage car like this so untouched is very rare, even all of the plastic covers and trim places are in place and intact.
Engine starts and runs excellent.
Transmission and clutch shift and function perfectly.
This is a running-driving project, unlike most project cars this won"t cost you alot to fix up, fix it up as you go and parts are cheap. When talking about body and paint work this classic is very small and has much less costly surface area to paint compared to other classic cars and will also save you time in cleaning and maintenance.
Apon receiving this vehicle the carburetor was cleaned, the battery was replaced, the fuel drained and replaced, the oil changed and some general cleaning and maintenance has been performed.
It is in otherwise untouched condition from 2003 and will need more work to be a reliable daily driver.
