1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car, this car was my fathers, who recently passed away. I believe he was the second owner and has owned the car since 1994 and the car has always been kept in a climate controlled building This car only has 544 miles on it and still has the window sticker attached to the window. We still have the original bill of sell from when the vehicle was sold new at a Chevrolet dealership in Kentucky to a gentleman from Southern Indiana. We also have the build sheet. There were only 6502 Corvette Pace cars built in 1978 and this one was number 465 to roll off the assembly line. When my father bought the car, it had just under 450 miles on it. He only drove the vehicle approximately 100 miles. But started and moved the vehicle regularly and kept Sta-Bil in the fuel system. He had trailered the car in an enclosed trailer to many car shows in a few States and won several, awards with it. This car is like new. It has the L-82 engine and is an automatic, it has power windows and locks. AM/FM Cassette player with built in CB radio, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, rear window defogger, mirrored T-tops, anti theft alarm system, power steering, power brakes and Air conditioner that still blows cold. The only thing on this car that I know does not work is the power antenna. Even the clock still works and it still has the original tires that still look new and not flat spotted.
