Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 in silver metallic with blue cloth interior. You read correctly, only 18,000 miles, and those are original. This is probably the most amazing thing about this car. By the way, those are salt-free miles because the car never saw winter. The exterior, as well as the interior, are in excellent outstanding shape. I have receipts for all work performed on the vehicle since new. They will be handed over to the new owner upon pick-up of vehicle. I am the second owner and I bought it from the original owner three years ago, who is well past 90 years of age.
The Oldsmobile was originally purchased new in June 1977 with seven miles on the odometer at Stiver Chevrolet-Oldsmobile in Hubbard, Ohio, not far from where I live. The car has spent its entire life in the Youngstown area and frequently gets driven to car shows and cruise-ins. It gets many complements wherever it goes. Although it was never driven in winter, it was always stored covered in a closed garage and started to let run often to keep fluids circulating. Fuel additive/stabilizer was added to the tank to keep the gasoline fresh over the winter months. Also, a battery maintainer was connected to the battery to ensure easy starts during the storage periods.
There is much dealer documentation that will also accompany the purchase. This includes owner"s manual, build sheet dated 5/17/77, service manual, rust proofing pamphlet, pre-delivery inspection, and many others. In truth, this is the most well-documented vehicle I have seen from this era or any era. This information alone is worth a good sum.
With that said, if you are an Olds fan like me or are looking for a clean, unmolested, stock original car with super low mileage, now is your chance to own and cherish one like I have. I have taken much pride in the Delta 88, and so will you. The car is missing only one thing- YOU in the driver seat! Hurry and act now; it will be gone fast at this price. Just to be honest, the car does not have air conditioning. It was optional in 1977 and the previous owner declined. Why spend thousands more on a car that need work when you can have this one for less and needs nothing? It"s a no-brainer. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping or pick-up in Youngstown, Ohio. I will hold onto the car for a short period of time after the sale ends. There are no warranties on the vehicle and there is a clean title.
