Vehicle description
For sale is a 1977 Scout II 4x4 with a 345 V8 automatic. . Blows a little smoke, and leaks a little oil, but other than that this vehicle runs, drives, and shifts good. Probably would run even better with a tune up/ oil change. It has been sitting a while. 4 wheel drive worked great last time I used it. The body, floor board, body mounts are pretty rusted out as you can see from the pictures. I can"t imagine the body could be salvaged for a restoration project, but I am no body man. Turn signal switch no longer works and most the gauges do not either. The speedometer reads about 53,000 miles which the previous owner told me was the original miles, but there is no way for me to possible verfify that. Vehicle has roll bar. That is about as much I know about this vehicle, unfortunately I am not much of a mechanic either. I did drive it around a little before posting it just to make sure it still ran. I put a battery and gas in it, pumped the gas pedal a few times and it fired right up. It ran good just like it did when I parked it! This vehicle is sold as is and is located in East Helena, MT. Buyer will be responsible for pickup and shipping arrangements. Winning bidder-I personally would trailer this vehicle if won. I used to take the top off in the summers and drive it 30 miles to lake and back, but that"s the farthest I have ever driven with it. The steering is squirly, and like previously mentioned, the turn signals do not work. I have put a reserve on this vehicle just to make sure I get what I paid for it. The reserve I set is low. Please look at the body pictures closely, like I said it is pretty rusted out. I have a clear title and will mail it to winning bidder as soon as payment is received or hold on to until pickup. Whichever the buyer would like.
