Vehicle description
This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so serious buyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This scout looks like pure 1970"s styling! From its bright green paint, groovy graphics, and wild black and green interior, you WILL get ATTENTION in this one!
This is a running, driving, and stopping scout that has some good options and features, including the big 345 v-8, new 2bbl carburetor with electric choke , new water pump/heater hose, new electric fuel pump, dual exhaust with RARE aftermarket exhaust headers, new dual electric fans, spark plugs/wires, 3 speed auto trans, tinted glass, removable top, sliding side windows, roll bar, rear skid plate, recent gas tank and rubber fuel lines, power tilt steering, power disc brakes, 4 wheel drive/locking hubs, air conditioning, bucket seats/console, 15 inch wagon wheels, 4 new 31 inch tires, custom swing away rear tire carrier with extra gas can, heavy duty off road jack. It looks like there is about a 4 inch suspension lift done with leaf springs.
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl and green cloth. A more modern "painless" wiring kit was installed at some point, new turn signal switch, headlight switch, and brake light switch were also recently installed. A custom grant steering wheel is present. AM radio is there, non working at this time. Floors are very solid, covered in bed liner, one patch in the bed area welded in years ago.
Recent brake soft lines front and rear were installed, along with rear wheel cylinders . Truck starts up and runs, good power, and sounds good! This truck was parked for many years. Tags expired 20 years ago, previous owner passed away so all the details are not known, but work was obviously done between tags expiring and now!
Having said that, the truck is over 40 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, has not been driven at highway speeds recently, It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Honda, The A/C does not work,. truck also had cruise control, but mostly removed now. This truck is an attention getter for sure, and easy/fun to work on! You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it! Therefore the $500 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you have the funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping. Fresh Texas title in hand. DO NOT use ebay messenger to contact me, just use the old ebay email system, much less problematic! Thanks for looking!
