Vehicle description

Vehicle Details Up for sale is a clean 1977 X1/9 California car I purchased from the original owner out of a 20 year storage. There are a dozen or so very small dings from time in storage but nothing big. The factory paint has been buffed thin on a few body lines where the white "E" cote shows through but this car presents itself very well on the show field. The car showed 56,000 original miles on odometer when I purchased it and now shows about 65,000. Current engine is a 1.9L stroker made from a Punto sporting block with 78.4mm stilo crankshaft and zrp forged rods, 85mm Iapel forged flat top pistons and Tipo cylinder head with 39.5mm intake and 35mm exhaust valves. This engine dynoed at 136whp on the rolling road dyno. Stainless steel header and VIC exhaust. Brown Miller Racing stainless steel water coolant pipes from radiator to engine. MWB single adjustable Koni struts all around and MWB small bumper kit installed. New Toyo tires on Mawer classic 2 pc. wheels made with proper offset for the X1/9. Big foot strut doublers are installed in all strut towers and steel brake lines with new front and rear calipers included with sale not installed as well as new master cylinders for clutch and brake along with new supply hoses of correct material and size from MWB. Cooling is via a VIC summer heat aluminum radiator. All dash components are still in place for air conditioning but the heavy water pump driven compressor and lines have been removed. I've been running 98 octane Sunoco since the compression is around 11:1 but with proper spark management I believe 94 octane pump gas with an additive could be used. All stock components that I have removed come with the sale including the original 56k mile 1300cc engine minus the carburetor should you choose to restore the car to its original condition. Currently the engine has a pair of Weber 44 DCNF;s that I purchased NOS from Portugal for a hefty sum of money. No air filters are currently installed but velocity stacks are included. I've seen 127.8 mph on my GPS during at least one test run so its not your typical sloooow X1/9 in need of extra power. It's more like strapping on a 60's muscle car. The only rust on the vehicle is shown in the picture under and around the battery box and floor of frunk where battery acid ran and wasn't properly cleaned and treated. It is surface only and will be an easy repair. Carpet is factory brown corn row and in good condition with minor wear where the left foot idles. Seats are reupholstered professionally in a high quality material and a new leather shift boot is installed but the center console is still loose from that job but all parts to reassemble are bagged. Some pics show components to build another stroker engine. These can be included for additional money. Also there are all parts including a 5spd core transmission to convert to 5 speed and another X1/9 parts car in primer with a clean 75 title for an additional fee if wanted. Ask questions about more pictures and information. Glad to work with your shipper once payment has been received and verified. Good Luck and Thanks for viewing. Images Download the Motors app
