Why This Car Is Special
1976 International Scouts, like the great looking one we have here at Skyway Classics, are getting harder and harder to find in any condition, let alone the super shape this one is.
Mechanical
The International Harvester Scout is an off-road vehicle produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980. A precursor of more sophisticated SUVs to come, it was created as a competitor to the Jeep and were produced in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The engine in these is a 345 Cubic Inch V8 that runs strong and looks all factory stock from the air cleaner, valve covers, wiring and hoses, and all other factory items and sitting in what appears to be the as factory original engine compartment complete with power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning.
Everything looks great from top to bottom including the clean and painted frame, the automatic transmission, springs, shocks, and all other suspension parts.
Interior
The beautiful interior has twin reupholstered blue 7 tan vinyl and cloth bucket seats, blue floor mats and carpet, air conditioner, center automatic transmission shifter, radio, factory clock, factory steering wheel, great dash, factory gauges, and a clean and detailed rear storage are with spare tire too.
Exterior
The pale blue paint looks great with white accents on the side and white top too. It has radial WideTrack Baja tires rolling on polished Outlaw type as well as a great sound with the dual exhaust system and turbo type mufflers. The chrome bumpers, trim, and glass is great and it even has a towing system on it too.
Conclusion
The 1976 International Scout we have here at Skyway Classics, looks great in its blue hue, runs and stops great and is a blast to drive. This is a must have for any collector to add to his stable and you will have a lot of fun driving it too.
