Vehicle description

I have owned this car for over 11 years. Literally went to look at it in a salvage yard to verify what it was and remove the engine for another project. Car had 51,000 miles showing, was missing rear bumper fillers, paint was faded, could tell it had parts repainted at some point, and had no rust. Ended up buying car complete, fixed the engine miss, and started driving it. Has the correct era Johnson Messenger CB with manual! The antenna was removed years ago and not sure if i still have it or not. Never intended to keep this car at all, not my favorite era of Caddy. Over the years I put the rear bumper fillers on and had it painted. When it was painted, was informed had damage on the driver rear and had filler in door and quarter, mostly door looked like it scraped a pole to me. It had screw holes where it had been pulled back out on edge of door. Kept up on maintenance, and fixed whatever was needed because I enjoyed driving it so much. I got serious about it several years ago and removed the engine, trans, and fuel tank. Under-coated the floors and trunk.Bearings in engine looked amazing, so I re-gasketed engine, installed steel timing set, oil pump, fuel pump, water pump, etc, cleaned up, painted, and dropped it back in. Carb has been re- rebuilt, transmission I rebuilt, had a driveshaft made due to a dent in original, new control arm bushings and strut arm bushings in front. Recently installed new calipers and hoses on front, wheel cylinders and shoes in the rear. Also had a set of springs made for the rear so the car sits beautifully and rides amazing. Exhaust was redone about 2 years ago. Everything works as it should except the twilight sentinel, and the AC. AC system is all there and intact. The bad part, car has sat outside for awhile now and it shows. I have too many projects and as I never intended to keep this car, was hopeful someone would save it now as i did years ago. I"m more of a mechanical restoration type guy which is what I do at my shop. It has been fun and i still drive it out of town on road trips. It is Mechanically Right and needs cosmetic issues addressed. Has rust around Vinyl top at driver rear and i assume that is where the rust on the quarter developed from. I figure the top would have to be removed and that fixed along with the lower quarter. lower passenger fender has rust as well. Everything under car is solid and rust free. Interior door panels had cracks and fading. I started trying to recover and decided best to just leave alone. Front seats have cracks starting. The steering wheel is cracked bad so i got a cover. The headliner is stained, windshield seems to leak at a spot in top, started after i had it replaced and top trim was bent also during the process :( Weather stripping is dried out as can be expected. Someone who is into paint and body could spend some time and this car would be amazing again. I have done what I can to this point over the years. Now see it best to let it go to someone else to wrap up what is left at this stage. If ya made it this far, Thanks for reading !
