Vehicle description
You"re viewing my 1975 Triumph TR6 convertible with its original factory hardtop. The car is actually pretty solid overall. There are a few areas that need addressed but the floors, trunk/spare tire area, and most frame rails are in pretty good shape. There is rust in the rockers and rear quarter panel. The doglegs and jambs are solid.
The motor is partially disassembled. It turned over by hand. I"m including a new starter, extra carbs, chrome windshield top trim, and air cleaner box. This is a full restoration project, but a pretty solid example to start with.
These are getting quite hard to find. Most have rotted away over the years. The body is pretty decent and and the hardtop is very nice to have. Unrestored hardtops like this are selling for $1000 by themselves! I bought this and another TR6 that I have listed as well as a surprise for my teenage son to do together as a father/son project. Unfortunately he has zero interest in it, so I"m selling both here with no reserve.
This car will be sold with a Bill of Sale only, no title. Titles are very easy to get for old cars like this and there are several companies that can do the work for you for a relatively small fee if you don"t want to do it yourself. It"s actually a simple process. In SC it literally is as simple as having an officer verify the VIN as not stolen, sending that form in with the Bill of Sale, paying the registration and sales tax, and within 30 days you have a title. I"m skipping this process only because we are moving on July 1st and I don"t feel like moving them with me since he"s not interested in them. I"m sure I could get a few thousand more for this with a title but at this point, I just need them to find new homes.
These cars are starting to really go up in value. I"d love to see somebody do what I had planned with my son and make some special memories.
Ask any and all questions before bidding. Serious bidders only, please. The car rolls and steers easily for transport. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. This is a no reserve auction so the last bid wins!
I require an IMMEDIATE deposit of $500 once the auction is over, and the balance to be bank wired within 3 business days. Zero feedback bidders must contact me prior to bidding. All sales are final. No warranties expressed or implied.
