Vehicle description
What you are looking at is 1972 Triumph TR-6 in very good condition that shows very well in local shows and with a little effort could hold its own in larger regional shows. The odometer shows just short of 41 thousand miles, but I cannot swear to its accuracy (but believe it to be true). Photos show a true representation of the cars condition, and from what I have been told, the car has been garaged since its frame on rebuild.
From research I have been able gather car was purchased by its second owner in the late 1990s, for his wife. He then had the restoration done in early 2000s. the engine and transmission were pulled and gone over, a bare body repaint was done, and interior and top replaced. The next owner used the car very little and sold it to a gentlemen from Central Florida who put the car in a barn, and was and there it sat till purchased by me in 2014.
Since in my care I have completed the following work, repairs and replacements to bring the car to the next level.
. Distributor sent to North Carolina for rebuild. . Carburators sent to Ohio for rebuild. . 4 New Tires . Suspension front and rear rebuilt from the frame out. Shocks. Springs, Neoprene Bushing, Ball Joints, Tie Rod ends. and all Bolts Nuts replaced. . The brake system was rebuilt, new Master and Rear Wheel cylinders, and Flexible Hoses . Electric wiring was redone, lights did not work. (New Harness) . Alignment of front and rear as well as 4 wheel balance. . Seals replaced in rear end. . Fuel tank drained and cleaned. . Car also has Petronics ignition, remote oil cooler, electric fan with remote switch, and a spin on oil filter.
I am sad to let this car go, as I have had several British cars over the years and this is one of the best. My age, health and the fact that my wife is not comfortable riding in the cars on outings and club events, causes me to let this car go.
