Vehicle description
For sale is my 1975 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT finished in Ginger Glow over a ginger and black interior. This two owner F-100 was sold new at Yadkin Valley Motors in North Wilkesboro NC on June 10 th 1975 and since the has covered just under 56,000 miles since that time. The Marti report in the photo gallery shows this truck was ordered with a number of options including A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes and the Ranger XLT package. We bought it early this year after it sat in a garage for a number of years and had a comprehensive restoration done on the truck while keeping the patina’d original paint. Here is a summary of the work, receipts for everything are available to interested buyers. Upon acquiring the truck, we sent the original 360 CI V8 Engine out and had it fully rebuilt and stroked to 390 cubic inches. The engine received a brand new forged 390 Crank, Rods and Pistons along with an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and 4-barrel carburetor. At the same time the A/C system was serviced, heater core replaced, radiator replaced, fan and fan shroud replaced, ignition system replaced and finally all hoses and belts replaced. The C6 Automatic was recently rebuilt under previous ownership but we still serviced it and replaced the transmission pan due to a scuff on it. Fuel tank and fuel system was replaced at this time too. The suspension and brakes were fully gone through as well. All bushings, shocks, front brake calipers, front rotors and pads, rear shoes, brake hardware, front brake lines, rear brake lines, proportioning valve and master cylinder were replaced. At the same time new Goodyear Wrangler tires were fit to factory Ford aluminum slot wheels with new center caps. The rust free exterior of this life long North Carolina truck was polished and waxed to preserve the patina but that’s it. All window weather-stripping was replaced. The bed was removed from the truck, the frame was clean and repainted along with the rest of the underside. The bed was bed lined then the truck was reassembled. All light bulbs have been replaced as well. The interior of the truck retains its original Ranger XLT bench seat has new carpet, dash pad, door panels with original inserts and headliner. The original instrument cluster has been fully rebuilt with a new housing and lens, all gauges work as the should. The steering wheel and horn pad are also brand new from Dennis Carpenter. The radio is a Retro Auto Sound with Bluetooth and USD input and the speakers are Kicker audio. The seat belts were converted to three point for added safety due to the increased power of this truck. This is an amazing turn key weekend cruiser the keeps its original 70s North Carolina farm truck look but can be driven anywhere. We are only selling to assist with the purchase of a piece of property. We went through and redid this truck as if it was going to be a kept forever. Receipts are available for all the completed work, and many more photos of the truck. I’m likely forgetting some of the work that’s been done to it, so if you have a question please ask! Clean and clear title in my name in hand.
