Vehicle description
Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon . Actual Mileage is unknown.
I bought this 4 years ago with intentions of converting and camping. During this time I invested about $7000 in parts and repairs. The metal is in excellent shape. The transmission is tight. The brakes work wonderfully now with a new brake booster. The I beam was replaced. The wiring had been eaten up by a family of mice, when the previous owner had it, so I had the wiring re-done by a reputable and experienced mechanic. The I gutted the inside and began to build that out. I kept all the side panels for stenciling them out on new wood. I had all the seats re-upholstered by Joe"s Upholstery in Frederick MD.
The bottom line is that I seldom drive it and I havent had the time/motivation to complete the project. I took care of all the expensive mechanical issues. Its ready for conversion and camping in style. Runs great, goes, stops, has quite a bit of pep. Super fun to drive.
I also purchased the Del Mar Retro Z bed, which allows the back seat row to fold out into part of the bed. Still would need to cut out a cushion for the the other half of the bed. That is included. as is the middle seat, which is not pictured but is also upholstered in the same fabric.
