A GOOD BONES PROJECT. Last registered in 1985- perhaps it"s been in the garage 20-30 years; found as part of an estate clear-out. The convertible has been stripped to metal and a very light layer of rust has settled over the whole body. Triumph experts who have seen it in person say it"s easily sand-able, may need acid wash for thorough paint job. There is no rust through on the body. All of the usual places to check for rust - sills, floors, doors, wings- are clean. The engine is complete but because the hood release isn"t working we can"t show pictures; the hood is resting on the body and hung up on the upper passenger side corner. We have all of the exterior parts that have been removed from the car- front and back bumpers and guards, grill. The interior could be a partial rework- carpet, perhaps seats, interior panels, etc because it was stored all those years without a top. The dash is in fair shape- original instruments. The crash pad lower right and switch plinth are cracked. We have the original top- the frame is workable, the leather is not. Also have a fiberglass hard top. A COMPLETE CAR that n eeds a detailed aesthetic treatment- starting with a good paint job and new tires.
