Vehicle description
1974 Pontiac Catalina 2 door hardtop coupe.
This is an awesome daily driver or project car for someone who loves big 70"s 2 doors. Car runs amazing. Turn key. Do nothing to the drivetrain at all. Just put gas in it.
400 4 barrel with a "73 455 intake manifold and new Edelbrock 650. No issues at all. Car is super fast.
I put a brand new stainless dual exhaust system on it as well with turbo quiet mufflers. Still has that 70"s sound-just not super loud.
The tires are new and hubcaps are stock The optional black finned ones are coming with the car as well. All 8 are in a great condition. The trunk has original parts coming with the car including the optional gauge package you could get from the factory. An original Pontiac 4 barrel air cleaner in the trunk as well if you don"t want the chrome one. It still fits on the new Edelbrock.
Has new front glass.
Title is clear,no issues.
Fresh oil change, battery, hoses, brakes gone through, all the lights work, Stereo has a crackle in the speakers. Power trunk works. Climate control works-but will probably need some tinkering if you want the AC on. But it"s all there and nothing is missing or cobbled up.
Cruise control works.
Yes,it could use a paint job-but you are going hard pressed to find another one of these this clean-the pictures do it no justice-in person-it"s pretty nice and a perfect car to restore or drive. It"s not going to cost an arm and leg to make this thing nearly perfect. I already have the sample of the original vinyl on the seats from SMS-it"s in the glove box.
If you are looking for a rust bucket-this isn"t it.
I also added a vintage pair of Trico wiper blades to it as well for that stock look.
This is a turn key car and it runs better than new cars. You will find out very quickly the second it rolls off the truck. Take it for a drive the second you get it and you are going to be impressed. I"d be very surprsied if you weren"t. I"m pretty picky with my cars I like to drive-and this one is kind of hard to part with-but I can"t keep them all. Sometimes I wish I could.
It"s a good car to build your vision or just have fun with it as is!
Will need the rear corner bumper fillers and rust? There is virtually no rust on this thing at all. Not even under the top that I could find except one spot.
The bumper fillers are available from Replica Plastics. I found them online.
