Vehicle description

1974 Jensen Healey . Condition is Used. Previous owner began restoration of this car but sold it to me about a year ago before completion. I have made no changes or improvements to the car during my ownership. The body is structurally solid. Floors solid. Paint job is not professional, and some waviness can be seen. A crack in the body filler is apparent in the hood in the area of the hood prop on one side. Mechanically the car is running and yard drivable. The previous owner fabricated an extension to the dual carb manifold in order to utilize a single carb instead of the original dual Strombergs. He installed a new single downdraft carb sourced from Pegasus Racing. The original Strombergs are included in the sale. The gas tank has been replaced or renewed, and a new fuel pump added. Bumpers have been polished but are wavy on their upper surfaces. New wiring to the exterior lights and to the engine compartment have been added and are operational, although the wiring to the instrument panel is still in need of work. A temporary panel has been roughed in to mount the ignition switch and a couple other switches. The alternator appears to be new or rebuilt. Battery new at the time I bought the car. I can send a short video of the motor running. Other work done by the previous: - new brake shoes and wheel cylinders - new brake calipers - brake master cylinder new or rebuilt by Delta Motorsports All upholstery has been removed and would need to be re-done. Passenger seat upholstery cracked. Convertible top frame is intact, but will need new fabric. It appears that most of the bits removed from the car before body work are present in the pile of parts that go along with the car. This car is a good candidate for restoration by virtue of its solid body and good-running engine. It wouldn"t take much to make it a presentable driver. I bought it with plans to install this body on a separate chassis but have abandoned that plan. See my other listing for the engine/chassis combination that I had planned to use. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. I can help load the car onto your transporter. This car is available for inspection in Springfield, Illinois prior to auction end. Please feel free to contact me to arrange inspection.
