* Had to open new account due to my previous account info getting hacked. Previous account was "durangoclay" and I have been a member since 2005. I had a perfect rating- 687 stars and never a single negative review as buyer or seller.*
Absolutely gorgeous 1974 Corvette Convertible. I purchased the car in 2016… spent nearly two years looking for an outstanding 74 before I found this one. Previous owner spent well over $60k on full restoration of very clean, low mileage (25,602 currently), numbers matching car. Professionally built, numbers matching 350, automatic transmission, rear end, suspension, brakes, exhaust. drives like a dream. Outstanding paint and body- best door/ panel gaps I’ve ever seen on any C3 Corvette. Flawless new interior, all new door panels, trim, seats, carpet, gauge cluster. All interior and exterior trim is perfect.
I took it to large national shows from 2016- 2019. Have put 4,000 miles on car since end of 2019. Has won dozens of awards at local and regional shows including Good Guys & Cruisin’ for a Cure. Was featured in BF Goodrich national ad campaign in 2019 and appears in the BF Goodrich 2019 Shop Calendar (July). No top- I own a 68 Corvette as well and never saw the need to ever use the top. Therefore, on the 74, I opted for the extra storage space behind the seats instead of a never- used canvas top. Selling due to change in lifestyle. I now have several small children and find myself only driving cars in my collection that seat at least four. Time to look for a more family friendly classic to take its place.
Condition is between a #1 and #2. The only reason I don’t give it a #1 is that I believe that rating is reserved for trailer queens that are never driven, but the restoration and performance is a #1 car. Insured through Hagerty for $44,000. Only 5,474 convertibles were built in 1974, making it one of the Corvette’s lowest production years in its history. First year of fiberglass front and rear bumpers and without the ugly black stops on 75, 76, etc. No disappointments. Serious buyers only please. I welcome interested parties to come inspect the car in person or hire a certified vehicle inspector to conduct a report. Literally the nicest 1974 Corvette I have ever seen. Lots of power, thrilling exhaust note and handles like a new car. Call/ text Clay @ 9 four 9 two 3 three 4 six 7 seven.
