Vehicle description
Up for auction is a very nice 1974 AMC Javelin. Original 6 cylinder has been upgraded to a 360 V8 with 2 barrel carb backed by a rebuilt Torque Command 904 with shift kit. All original AMC parts were used to complete the engine swap, including the correct V8 engine cross member and motor mounts. Rebuilt AMC 20 rear axle also replaced original AMC 15. Car has all new suspension, including custom adjustable QA1 front coilovers. Subframe Frame Rail connectors from Control Freak Suspensions have also been installed. All new brakes, master cylinder, brake lines, and fuel lines. New parking brake cables are mounted, but need adjustment. New carpet and vinyl top have been installed. All original interior is in pretty good shape for it"s age, but does show signs or normal wear. Previous owner cut a hole in the passenger side dash, which is covered by a speaker grill. All gauges work and an aftermarket tachometer was added to the stock dash. Car runs and drives nice. Other upgrades include MSD Street Fire ignition, Lokar Hi-Tech Transmission kickdown kit, Patriot Sidepipe Exhaust, all aluminum radiator, and new alloy 15" wheels. Exterior trim is all original and shows signs of normal wear (scratches, dings, and some pitting/peppering of chrome pieces), however, both front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed to like new condition. Paint overall is very presentable, but does have minor imperfections throughout. Overall, very cool car that definitely gets noticed during cruise-ins and car shows (normally the only AMC present). This is not a "100 point" show car. It"s a nice car to cruise and enjoy, or take to the next level if you choose. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I personally did all of the work to this car, so I offer full disclosure to potential buyers. Thank you and good luck.
