Vehicle description

This is a solid, unmolested GTV that I have owned for a decade in SAN DIEGO, CA. It have been a California car it"s entire life with no serious accidents or rust. It has been an amazingly reliable car for me, never breaking down or stranding me. Always starts even after a long lay off.
Positives - I have been in touch will owners dating back to the 1990s and have service records back to that time. The car was restored in the 1990s. I have some pictures and spoke with the owner. He confirms that it was completely rust free when he undertook to restore it. It had a major $4K plus service in 2006 and has amassed less than 3000 miles since. I had two Alfa experts go over the car in the past six months to make sure that the buyer would get a solid, no issues car. This recent work included a new valve cover seal, pinion seal, fuel filters, complete tuneup, new Toyo tires, correcting all electrical issues, basically whatever we found that needed doing.
Every Alfa expert to look it over since then has concluded that it is a straight, problem free car. It remains a nice original car all around that has spent all of its life in California and garaged. Original wheels. Spica works wonderfully. Headliner looks good. No rips in the seats. Paint is to a good standard, though not concourse. Transmission is good, though you need to remember first-neutral-second. Interior is really clean. All electronics and gauges work, except the switch that automatically turns on the interior overhead light when you open the driver door is iffy. Original steering wheel was replaced with a beautiful Nardi. The shift nob matches the steering wheel. The original shift nob, but not the steering wheel come with the car. Comes with an earlier style bumper that I never installed. And the original center console with ash tray. I have installed an early style center console that I like better. It has a period blue dot Blaupunkt radio that works and is set up to play music from a phone or iPod. I"ve performed a magnet test on the rockers with an Alfa expert, revealing no bondo. Wheel wells look great as does the car underneath. I have some additional pictures if you"d like them. It is now essentially rust free except for some minor surface rust on the trunk floor.
It comes with some advertising literature, pictures from the 1990s restoration, an owner"s manual and Instruction and Maintenance manual. Both are photocopies, but of nice quality with all the fold out diagrams. Also service records dating back to the 1990s.
The odometer reads less than 80K miles which seems realistic given the condition of the car. And it has fewer than 3K in the last 10 years.
I"ve tried to be as honest and thorough as I can be here. But I"m happy to answer any questions that you have. I"m also happy to work with a shipper if you need to do that. Though I personally would feel comfortable driving it home if you are within a 1000 miles of San Diego.
I researched the pricing on these carefully and believe that I am pricing this car fairly. But I"m willing to do what it takes to get a fair deal done.
