1973 Volvo 1800ES Sea Grean Great Deal! VIN: 1836363006956 Year: 1973 Exterior Color: Sea Grean Make: Volvo Interior Color: Beige Model: 1800ES Mileage: 107750 Engine: Inline-4 Transmission: 4-Speed Manual Vehicle Description: This 1973 Volvo 1800ES was with the previous owner for 13 years and was refininshed in its original Sea Green over a brown/blue interior. It was refurbished with rust repair, a repaint in the original color, and a rebuild of the 2.0 liter B20 inline-four. The car was originally equipped with an automatic transmission but was converted to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive at some point. The odometer now shows 107k miles and the previous owner has personally maintained the car with recent work including a new battery, a tune-up, and oil change. It is being offered with records and receipts dating back 13 years. The door and window seals were replaced and the original chrome trim was re-fitted. A full set of five 15” Virgo-style wheels are fitted. The original brown hide leather and vinyl interior features recently reupholstered front seats with new Volvo foam. The rear seats, center console, door panels, and carpets remain original and a set of factory rubber floor mats are included. Custom cherry wood-veneer dash faces were fabricated by previous owner and the lower pad was recently replaced. The upper dash pad looks to be well preserved but the factory clock does not work. The odometer shows 107k miles and it registers properly, though the trip-meter is operated by its own cable and is broken. A replacement cable is included with the sale. The rear carpet is original. The headliner was replaced but it is a little loose in the corners. The fuel injected B20 inline-four is original and was rebuilt approximately 11k miles ago by the previous owner. The block was bored .030” over and a mild street/performance IPD camshaft was installed. The head was decked and received new guides and seats. A Sanden style A/C compressor has been installed and the system has been converted to R134 with new barrier hoses. Up front, a switch-controlled electric fan has been installed. Originally sold with an automatic, an appropriate 4-speed M41 manual gearbox with overdrive has been installed. During the refurbishment, the transmission received new bearings and seals along with two new synchronizers. The reverse light switch is currently disconnected.
