About this vehicle This 1973 Volkswagen Beetle (Pre-1980) is a project vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work. Seller"s Notes engine upgraded to 1914 cc mild long block Exterior 1973 Volkswagen super beetle cabriolet convertible. The VW is APART for restoration. The engine (long block) has been completely rebuilt to a 1914 mild at the VW shop. It needs to have the fan, alternator, tin and other things put back on it. I have already replaced the brakes, shocks, tie rod ends and ball joints. I have purchased many new parts: clutch, bearing, pressure plate, hide away muffler, most new rubber, alternator&stand, electronic distributor And two new fenders. I have a 2 barrel carb and intake. The heater channels are in great shape. The floor pan had a section cut out under the driver seat and a piece welded in. That may need a little finish welding work. The rust areas are in front of the door post on both sides other than that just some minor surface rust where the running boards were. It will need an interior as I have stripped the seats down to the springs since they were pretty much shot. So I have the seat springs but no other interior. It will need a windshield because it cracked While in storage, And it will need runningboards. Since this is a Cabriolet it had a headliner inside the roof which is shot. the roof you would have to decide for yourself what you think. I would probably put new cloth on it.
