Vehicle description
1973 Triumph TR-6
Up for sale is my 1973 TR-6. I guess it could be best described as an entry level solid mechanically sound driver that is presentable but far from perfect. Most everything works on the car besides some dash lights, the fuel gauge needle is broken but the gauge works, and the windshield washers. The car has very little rust. The chassis is rust free which is a rare find on one of these. The floors have some minor rust that has been patched up. The battery tray has some minor rust as well. Otherwise besides some bubbles and surface rust here and there the sills, rockers, fenders, trunk, and doors are solid. The paint is old but looks okay. It has been touched up in a few places and there are small dings, scratches, and surface rust here and there as well. The left front fender has some bondo around the headlight bucket from a minor accident. Otherwise the the rest of the car has very good straight panels. The car runs strong with no smoke. I bought the car from a guy who had acquired the car from his uncle who was the original owner. The person I bought it from never had it on the road. From the looks of the valves and what I"ve been able to gather from working on it the engine has likely had some work done but I can"t say for sure. Transmission shifts well and the clutch is good. The seats need new foams and the passenger side has a worn/torn area around the shoulder area.
Recent maintenance/repairs:
Intake gasket Valve cover gasket Thermostat housing gasket Points and condenser Fuel lines Fuel filter LOF Air cleaners Battery Brakes Clutch slave cylinder Flushed cooling system Exhaust header gaskets All hoses
Please let me know if you have any questions. I"ll answer them as quickly as I can. Local inspection welcome and encouraged. The car is located in Montgomery county Maryland.
