I bought this Land Rover Santana 109 Especial in Spain. I imported it myself, and have all of the EPA, US Customs and Homeland Security documents.
It spent most of its life on an olive farm in Spain, in a very dry climate similar to the America Southwest. Therefore, it has extremely low miles (km) and isn"t riddled with rust.
I used it on my bison farm for tours and general work. It"s a remarkable example of the model.
For those of you that aren"t familiar with Land Rover Santana - they were made in Spain not the UK. They are exceptional utility trucks, and in many ways better than the UK models. I"ve owned both UK and Spanish Rovers, Defenders, Series 2&3"s, Model 88s and I believe the Santana models are superior (IMHO)
PLEASE Ask Questions, Request more pictures, Come Visit, Get it Inspected, there isn"t anything to hide.
The only reason I had it professionally painted was the original paint had faded.
It"s highly unlikely you"ll will find a nicer Vintage Land Rover Santana than this; if you do, buy it, and treat it like a unicorn.
If you want a really nice, head turning, rugged, Land Rover with a vintage flavor - Look no further.
ADDITIONAL INFO: I"m the second owner, the vehicle was owned by the same family in Spain from the time it left the factory, until i acquired it. They were all Made to Order.
Also, it was featured in a Spanish news paper for having participated in a Flash Flood rescue operation. I may still have the article (If I can find it).
The Land Rover Santana will go virtually anywhere, in any weather condition - they aren"t fast, but they"ll be running when everything else has gone to the scrapyard.
