Vehicle description

Up for sale is my excellent running, unmolested, daily driver (2-3 days per week) 1973 Scout II with original 164,000 miles. I am the second owner and have had her for the past 15 years. She has had repairs done correctly as needed and has been well taken care of. The transmission was refreshed and resealed 4 years ago and the the original 345 V8 was refurbished 3 years ago, both done by Karol’s Garage (the best scout shop in Southern California). The only non-original items are the front seats, radio, and paint. No electrical issues. The paint is a respray from the early 1990’s. Still holding up with the obvious patina. The carpet is original and has been slowly falling apart. A/C not running. Compressor was removed 6 years ago, everything else intact, hoses were converted to R134 back in the late 1990’s. Tires are 5 years old and are in very good condition. BF Goodrich All Terrains Rust only in the outer rockers (replacements included) and lower rear front fenders (see pics). The truck was originally from the dry West Texas region. Minor upgrades are as follows: 2300 series Holly carburetor (woke the motor up!) Transmission cooler Static cooling fan converted to a clutch fan. Original style roll bar. The front seats have 2 point seat beats. The roof, wheel wells and rear cargo area were Rhino-lined 2 years ago and are in good condition. Many extra parts. (slider rear side windows, the next upgrade), old carb, hoses, seals, replacement rocker panels
Hoping that she goes to a good home.
I have more photos and video of running engine, electrical and exhaust.
