(877) 399-3176 (877) 399-3176 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger, 318ci, A/C, Sale/Trade Exterior Color: Tan Interior Color: Tan Body Type: Coupe Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: RWD Engine: 318ci All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed.
This 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger represents one of the most reasonably priced classic Mopars, not to mention one of the most fun to drive with its 318ci engine and cold a/c. Aside from being more affordable, the A-platform also makes the Dart a much more nimble, practical car than the others in the lineup. Have you ever tried to fit a Super Bee in your garage? Or put anything larger than a golf bag in the trunk of a Cuda?
This example was built in July 1973 and is remarkably solid throughout. The odometer shows just 27,500 miles which is not documented but appears to be actual. The car has had one repaint in its original color of Parchment and also received a new brown vinyl top which ties in nicely with the side moldings. The awkward 1973 bumper guards were removed for a cleaner look while the bumpers were redone in silver. The car gets some additional pop from the fender turn signals and rocker moldings, along with a new set of 15” Torq Thrust style wheels.
While many of these cars were built with a slant-6 engine, this one was equipped with the G-code 318ci small block V8. It is a great fit for this size car as it keeps weight down while still providing decent power. The automatic transmission is a compact Torqueflite 904. Everything runs smoothly. In addition this car was well equipped from the factory with power steering and power front disc brakes, making it easy for anyone to drive and enjoy.
The original Parchment interior is in remarkable condition and includes a front bench seat and shoulder belts. The woodgrain accents on the dash and door panels give just the right touch too. All gauges work properly as do the lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, and parking brake. There is also factory air conditioning that has been converted to R134a and blows cold!
Whether you are just looking to enter the classic car market or augment your collection with something you can drive every day, this Dart Swinger presents a nice opportunity. With its solid condition, nice paint, and sharp lines it will always please a crowd. Throw in the reliable drivetrain, power conveniences, and working a/c and it will please its next owner just as well.
