Go to Youtube. Get into site and enter in search box dodge dart gt 1966 andrew kerr There you will find a video of this vehicle.
1966 Red over Black. New Cragar wheels and tires Slant 6 engine ICE COLD Air conditioning. It needs the front seat covers replacing $ 360 pair, a new headliner $ 80 and a new carpet. I found a good quality moulded one with a matt backing for $ 200 although there are cheaper ones available. The rear seats need a small amount of stitching of a couple of seams. Check the video. The vinyl is soft and can be sewn in place. The bodywork is in great shape. There is no rust apart from the one spot I would attend to and is shown in the video. The passenger floor has been repaired previously but is now solid. See picture. The original wheels come with the car along with the fender trims. I also have one of the top fender trims but it is missing the other straight piece and the dodge letters from the hood. Both parts are available online I did find three of these vehicles in salvage yards that have donor parts if required. I will pass on all of the information to the buyer.
There are some small nicks in the paint as shown. I asked my paint guy and he said it was an easy fix as it is just in the red paint and because there is effectively no bodywork to do, it would be a sand and spray over. The car had a vinyl roof originally. It has been painted black at the moment. Again an easy replace.
This is a great start to fully restore or even better to drop in a crate motor and make it go as well as it looks. Or , there are many upgrades and performance parts available for these motors .
The best part is , it has ICE COLD Air conditioning. I had it recharged with upgraded valves to take current freon.
IT starts and runs well. It would benefit from a tune up. The brakes are good and it stops in a straight line.
I had intended to take this car to the next level but I have a new job starting soon and I still have a couple of vehicles that I am working on and have decided to let this one go.
I am happy to help with loading etc. and will put you in touch with shippers that can assist.
Any questions , please ask.
