1973 BMW2002 E10 - Malaga with tan interior with significant performance upgrades. UPGRADES/NOTEDFEATURES: · Engine professionally rebuilt in Austin, Texas (2021). · New intake/exhaust manifold gaskets, bedded/sealed studs & heatshield (2021). · New lightweight flywheel, clutch disk, clutch pressure plate, throw-out & pilot bearing(2021). · High performance starter (2021). · New motor mounts, driver’s side motor mount reinforcement plate, urethane steering coupler &flex disc (2021). · Korman aluminum radiator, new hoses. · Weber 32/36 DGV –manual choke carburetor. · ICE Auto Air Conditioning (needs recharge after 2021 engine reinstall). · Ireland Engineering Front/Rear Big Brake upgrade: Wilwood front brake calipers; Rear250mm brake drums (new front/rear wheel bearings). · New brake fluid reservoir. · New clutch cylinder. · Ireland Engineering stainless steel exhaust downpipe, muffler & tailpipe. · Rear outer/inner differential bearings & adjacent seals replaced. · 15” Rota wheels (including spare) with BMW emblem. · VDO oil pressure, oil temp, vacuum, volt, cylinder head temp & Holley air/fuel mixture (recently inconsistent/erratic). · Pertronix ignition & flame thrower coil. · Valet electric door locks. · Nardi steering wheel. · Becker Europa IIAM/FM radio. · Vacuum holds steady at idle (~20 inHg).
NOTED IMPERFECTIONS: · Paint fading on trunk lid, spots/blemishes on hood & dings here & there. · Right rear lower panel showing area of bubbling beneath paint. · Transmission shifts smoothly in all gears, with an occasional slight bite (synchro possibly?) from 1 st to 2 nd gear but not always. · lnstrument gauges work except for odometer, and air/fuel sensor (inconsistent/erratic). · Fuel gauge sometimes shows full until car warms up. · Becker Europa II radio tuner does not freely move to left (unsure if AM works). · ICE Auto Air Conditioning not yet recharged after engine re-install but worked beforehand. · Pedal box showing rust. · Undercarriage has sprayed undercoating of many years ago with areas showing flaking. · Undercarriage shows areas of overspray (I don’t have access to a lift so can’t get undercarriage images). · Usual crack on top of dash. · Front headliner trim piece missing. · Side mirror could use replacement. · Good tread on tires but getting up in years.
