Vehicle description
1973 Avanti II, all original, grey with original red leather interior. 400 small block, 3 spd. automatic. Was sitting in storage for nearly 30 years before we purchased the vehicle. Less than 81000 original miles. Needs exhaust and two tires. Have a set of brand new hog troughs ($1500) Frame itself is very solid for being a northern car. Factory A/C car. New NOS condenser, new radiator, water pump, belts and hoses, new master cylinder, new fuel pump, new battery new air filter, new ignition, new trunk cable and gas cover. Engine runs well, transmission shifts fine. Interior is all original and complete. No cracks or chips in exterior glass. Only a few minor spots of exterior panel fiberglass will need repair before it is ready for paint. Majority of chrome appears to be restorable. Surprisingly, brand new, original production parts are readily available for these vehicles from the Avanti warehouse. Overall needs some TLC to finish restoration, but has tons of potential and is a very rare and interesting vehicle. Only 106 (yes one hundred and six) Avanti II"s were produced for the 1973 model year. Have many parts ready to go back on car, including original lower grill, turn signal covers, original radiator shroud, and other small things. Vehicle comes with some interesting documentation information including the original owner information. Health forces sale, I would love to see this car go to a good home and get the attention it deserves. Please feel free to email with any questions or request more, or specific pictures. Thanks! Doug.
