About this vehicle This 1972 Volkswagen Beetle (Pre-1980) is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable. Seller"s Notes Great bug. .maybe nicest I have ever owned. Vehicle Details Very clean, very original 1972 VW Bug. I am an avid VW collector and have spent the last 6 months going through the car and getting it sorted. I had the 1600 dual port long block replaced and installed by THE reputable local VW specialist who has been in business since the 70s. Runs great and will cruise at 75 on the freeway with ease, even with the roof rack. Floors are very dry and original with the exception of one spot under the battery tray which has been patched with new sheetmetal. It’s possible that the seats are original, I cannot find evidence of multiple layers of material which would indicate recovering. Appears that the original rubber mats are in place as well. The headliner has been replaced. Stereo is new. Steering wheel has some cracks but overall is good. Everything on the car works, including the heat. No grinding in any gears,and the clutch is new.
