| “This 1972 Triumph TR-6 has been with us since 2002. The firewall tag has the paint code as 72 (Pimento Red) and the trim code as 11 (black). When we purchased the car it was yellow/black and the paint has held up nicely. The wood dash inlay is free of cracks but the driver’s seat has an open seam in the vinyl. The carpet and logo mats are in good shape. The weather stripping is fine and the chrome has the early starting of some pitting. Trim rings on the steel wheels have minor scuffing with all center caps intact. The tires have about 50% life left with no signs of dry rot. The manual top is free of tears. The 5 digit odometer indicates 05,906 but the actual mileage is unknown. The speedometer and odometer have stopped working. The temp, oil, amp, tach and fuel gauges are all operational. The wipers work but the washer and horn do not. Head, tail, marker, license plate and hazard lights are all functional. The heater/ blower is working. The Pioneer AM/FM CD player is operational.” |

Vehicle description
There is no rust on the rockers or door pillars and just some surface rust on the underside due to its prolonged storage. The 6 cylinder starts and runs, the 4 speed shifts and the brakes stop fine. We have one key for the car. No maintenance records are available.
Bills Auto Sales was an seller (456 teal star rating) and a licensed VA dealership selling classic and vintage cars in Culpeper. When the business closed four years ago, the remaining 35 cars (Bills favorites) were put into storage buildings on the farm. Now Harness Grove, is selling all of the remaining cars in the collection. These are not ‘barn finds’ but they will require some attention before being placed back into service. After years of inactivity we do not recommend driving any of the vehicles until all safety and suspension systems have been inspected. Transporting the cars using a truck or trailer is encouraged.
All purchases are as is, where is and no warranties are provided. These vehicles are being purchased as final sale.
We encourage pre purchase inspections but will not make adjustments for cars inspected after the auction closes.
Bidding in this auction is a contract to purchase the vehicle if you have the winning bid. Only bid if you are prepared to buy AND have a PayPal account for the deposit. A $500 deposit is required via PayPal at the auction close with the balance due in full within three days.
Balance of payment will be cash or wire transfer. Bank checks will take three days to clear. Cars will be released after funds are confirmed as received into our account.
