Vehicle description
Vehicle Details An original 429 4-barrel carburetor car! originally from North Carolina, under 120,000 lifetime miles on body, rebuilt the original engine, car runs great, I drove it from Louisville to Cincinnati this summer, ran like a champ. Just re-did the brakes, stops great. New distributor, points as well. New battery. Glass and stainless on this car is beautiful. Honest car, Original paint, see pictures for condition, but this car has not been touched on the body, what you see in photos has not been repainted, very solid frame, surface rust on inside floors, floors are very solid, see pictures of worst rust on entire car (rear bottom behind rear wheels, the storage area on one side and the spare tire well on the other side, but not bad), jump seats in very back are in good shape, original upholstery, floor at jump seats has small holes, but that is the worst of it, very solid 72 wagon. lower doors and door jams are solid except for lower drivers door, not bad, but see picture. Bumpers are solid, no rust thru, but need re-chrome. I would not hesitate to drive this car on a long road trip; turn signals and lights all work, transmission is smooth, engine is rebuilt and very strong, brakes just re-done, Factory A/C components are still on car (not running, have not tried it). All of the original cruise control components are on car! (but non-op). This car still has the original AM/FM radio installed!. . but non-op. Top of dash is sun-cracked. Have owned car over 10 years. Bought it out of North Carolina, an original Carolina car. Luggage rack is all there, have loaded it with canoes on road trips, solid luggage rack. rear door opens but door handle mechanism is fidgety. rear window there but roll-down mechanism is non-op. Original seat belts all over car. I took the 1970's shag carpet out when I bought the car, and it saved the floor boards. . they are solid. Original seats, drivers area is torn. This is a solid car, Cool 72. Images Download the Motors app
