Vehicle description
I used to be a Porsche guy, now Im a 240 Z Datsun guy, they are faster, lighter and easier to work on. And not to mention less expensive to maintain. All that being said, I"ve owned a few and of them this one is the fastest.
This is a 1972 mildly cammed, with a lightened fly wheel, short shifted and lowered 240 Z. Has the original numbers matching drive train.
Four speed manual 1.5 inch competition lowering springs resting on original US Racing deep seven inch wide slotted magnesium wheels.
This is a 30 year old paint scheme that still shines. This a no-rust ever, Central California, desert dry 240 Z!
Clean batter tray, rockers and floors. Probably the most rust free and original 240 I"ve seen. It is running a single chamber exhaust (custom) down-pipe. Produces an amazing exhaust note and crackle on acceleration and downshifts. Sounds like a vintage sports car should. This car is still fitted with its original factory optioned black over red interior. Very good condition.
The carpets and soundproofing are the originals and still show well. Turn signals work, wipers work, brakes and tail lights work as they should. Windows roll up and down properly, all glass is good, with no cracks or chipping. Fitted with light-weight bumpers and B.R.E. rear spoiler and original aluminum dealer opt. rear louvers.
This car is fitted with an AC unit and all blower speeds work. Fresh air vents work well. Original steering wheel still present. All guages work properly. Storage cubbies still hold all original tools and jack. Original spare is still present in the rust free spare well.
Serious buyer can let me know if any additional photos are needed and I will be happy to post them.
Car is registered and titled in my name. Thank you for your interest. Feel free to text me any questions. 3236305519
