About this vehicle This 1972 Chevrolet Vega is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great. Vehicle Details 1972 Chevrolet Vega Runs, drives and stops. Registered, insured, clean title. Frame tied. 425 horse 383 Summit crate engine. Th350 transmission with a 3200 stall converter with a 1963 Nova 8.2 rear end turning 4.56 gears. This car is built right and not a rust bucket. All new brakes, rotors and master cylinder. Still not great stopping with all its power though. It’s a V8 Vega. It rides and handles and accelerates like a freak show. It will scare you and make your passenger find Jesus (because there is no seat belt for the passenger seat). It’s a fun car but it desperately needs traction. I took it to the track once and the best it ran was a 12.31. With a 2.2 60 foot. It has easy 11 second power if it could hook. It has new drag radials and Hotchkis upper and lower trailing arms. No wheel hop. Just over geared I think with the 4.56. While it is 100% mechanically, no leaks of any kind, jump in and drive, it needs a lot of love body wise. Some very minor rust in the quarters, but floor pans, rockers and under hood are solid. It has a whole lot of dings and very minor dents. A lot. I have 2 doors, a front upper valance, new rear lower valances in the box and whatever else I have collected I will throw in. It’s a project with a ton of potential that is mechanically rock solid. Sounds amazing. I have videos I can send and will take pictures if you ask. Please ask any questions you may have. I have excellent feedback for a reason. I’m sad to sell this as it has been a really fun car but I am ready to move on. Please understand this will be sold as is and it not a daily driver. It is fast, loud and dangerous in the wrong hands. It will test your driving skills! A mini tub and some traction would be great. Make it yours. There is a lot of potential with this 72 Vega.
