Vehicle description
You are looking at a 1972 Buick Riviera Boattail with a 455 Big Block, "Rivvit" . It has a beautiful rear end similar to the rear window to the 1963 Corvette. These cars are becoming pretty hard to find for a decent price. I bought this car from an older gentleman who said it had been in a barn for about 20 years.
I put a new radiator, had the transmission rebuilt which is still under warranty, ($1300) New brakes all the way around and new wheel cylinders, replaced a couple brake lines, new master cylinder, new plugs and wires, new dual Delta 40 Flo Masters, new wheels and tires and had it aligned, (I still have the original wheels and they will go with the car + the original spare). I had the gas tank relined and painted (the don"t make a new one for the 72"s). All new blinker bulbs around the car.
The interior is in great shape. No cracks in the dash (I bought a dash mat to keep it out of the sun). Car has crank windows, does have a charged working AC. The drivers seat has a split in it but other seats are in excellent condition. No rust in the floor boards or trunk, around the edges of the fender wells are starting to rust a but not bad (see pictures).
To make it perfect, it would need the engine painted up, new paint and rust fixed (original Buick Emerald Mist Paint) unless you like the original patina look. The drivers side windshield wiper doesn"t work. The motor is good, I think an arm slipped off inside or something, passenger side works fine. I would put new rubbers all the way around ($140) and the drivers seat needs recovered.
This car has not been all cut up, modified, etc. It is a good old running Buick Riviera Boattail. Car is a head turner. Everywhere I go in it people come over to talk. If you are wanting a cool car that you don"t see everyday this is it.
If you want me to ship the car I will work with you on how to get that done, paid by the buyer.
Please call or message me with any questions. Steve
