Production numbers from 1971-1973 were around 34,000 cars per year. However Buick built a limited amount of 1973 Buick Riviera Stage 1"s with production at just 1234 units. And even fewer with a Stage 1 performance package and the GS handling package. Making the 1973 Buick Riviera Stage 1 GS the rarest of all the boattails. The vin on its own confirms this to be a true stage 1 car. The 5th character being a W identifies this to be a true stage 1.
