Thank you for looking at this 1972 BMW 2002 Coupe.
I am helping the owner list this vehicle online and have seen it being restored and cared for over the last 12 years or so. The vehicle was fully resprayed in this color about 8 years ago and slowly put together after that. It has been stored inside all this time and never sat outside. No rust/rot on the undercarriage. It will need some TLC and will need to be completed by the new owner to make it a 100%. The car starts and runs with a misfire, fuel has been drained and new fuel added last month, might require a tune up after sitting over these years.
Please remember, this is an older vehicle and will have some issues. The electrical wiring needs to be sorted out, as it started to work intermittently (i.e. , parking lights, brake lights and turn signals), has a small leak by the gas filler neck connection to the fuel tank, will recommend a tune up and fluids as it has been a few years. Overall suspension feels solid, a lot of new parts, steering and shifting are good. Paintwork does show a few chips on the edges, nothing major. Vehicle did have some bodywork on left quarter panel which was repaired prior to paint. No seatbelts. Muffler has a hole in it.
