I am the second owner. Bought from original owner family. I"ve owned it for a couple years and slowly working on it. It was last plated in 1989.
As you can see in the pictures the frame was undercoated and is super solid. It looks like it had some repair work done to the rear drivers panel and the whole bus was resprayed with original color. The wheel wells and rockers are super solid but t he front floor left and right need repaired. The rear battery tray area is rusted through.
ORIGINAL MILEAGE 79079 - I just had the engine block rebuilt at Johnson VW. Line bored and all new internals. He reused the cylinders and heads. It runs and idles nice. I believe it"s the original engine, AE426914, and transmission.
I installed new front and rear bakes. New rear drums, cylinders, pads, and internal parts. New front brake calipers, cylinders, and pads.
All original deluxe chrome, emblem. door panels. I replaced the front seat with a nicer one I had. I still have the original seat. It just needs to be recovered. I"ll swap it with the buyer if they want.
It does need a new turn signal switch. Currently the switch doesn"t work.
