Vehicle description
I purchased my 1971 Triumph TR-6 last year as I have always wanted one. After reading about what the best years are I began my research and found one that had been very well taken care of and driven, not a show car. I had stored with my other cars to one day use as a fun summer car but now due to my daughter going to college a few select cars have been chosen to be sold to fund her education.
Here is what the shop I purchased from said about the car in their ad - It sold me about the car! 1971 Triumph TR 6 Wonderfully Preserved Example of the Breed This is a very nice car that we are selling on behalf of a long time customer who has never spared any expense in keeping it professionally maintained. It drives very nicely - the transmission shifts smoothly and it is a very good car over all. Last year we completely overhauled the rear end. In doing so we installed a rebuilt differential, rebuilt the rear hubs and renewed the axle bearings. The engine pulls strongly and makes a great sound. Good oil pressure, good compression and does not over heat. Suspension is solid, steering is smooth. This very well sorted TR-6 will give its new owner years of enjoyable top down motoring. This car has been garaged most of its life and it shows. It is not a show queen, but a very nice driver. Probably one of the most important questions when considering the purchase of any TR-6; is there any rust in the chassis. The answer in this case is NO. Chassis is solid and about as rust free as you will find in any car of this vintage. Rockers are rust free as well. This is a solid car. 4 Redline tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left. Car was repainted years ago in its original color and the paint is holding up well. This is a very nice running car with no serious issues. The current owner maintained this car very well.
