Vehicle description
1971 Dodge Dart. Started life in California and was driven to Illinois in 1984. I purchased the car shortly thereafter. Originally, it was light blue with a white top; 6 cyl, automatic with A/C and a bench seat. Theme for the car was street/strip. Car was converted to V8 K Frame and has a mild purple shaft cam from Mopar. Mild porting done on heads. Car has Hooker headers, turbo mufflers, 2 1/2" exhaust and a Predator carb (old school). All was new in 1984. I only put test miles on the car after install (less than 50 miles). Has 4 speed manual with Ram Rod shifter, 1/2" Rods reverse lockout, 8 3/4 Sure Grip, 4:10 gears and super stock springs. Car was stripped before going to paint shop and I discovered a fender bender on left quarter panel. Since whoever fixed it just massaged the metal and filled with body filler, it wasn"t much of a dent. Other than that, body is super solid, zero rust. Car hasn"t run for quite a while. You will need to go through the fuel and brake system. Should fire up with a new battery after some maintenance. I"ve had this car in my collection for 30 years and due to a health complication, I now know I won"t be ever be able to finish it. If you are looking for a super solid Dodge Dart, this is the one. Thanks.
I put a 1/2" ratchet on the crank bolt and the motor turns freely. No stickiness. The body is all original with all factory panels. No rust whatsoever or repaired rust or patch panels. Door panels come with vehicle.
Vehicle will need to be hauled on a flat bed. It has been in storage and needs normal maintenance before starting. Happy to work with your shipper. Clean title in hand.
I prefer cash, but will accept a wire transfer. If you use a wire transfer, money must be in hand before the vehicle is released to you.
