Vehicle description
NO RESERVE AUCTION Welcome. You are bidding on a 1971 Series 1 Datsun 240z. This car comes with a clean California title, current registration, service books, and spare parts. Please take a look at the description below and let me know if you have any questions. I can help arrange out of state or overseas shipping. I have added about 100 pictures in a photobucket account below. http:/ s263.photobucket.com/user/MrBMW2002/library/1971Datsun240z VIN: HLS30-14751 Production Date 1/71 Color Code: 918 Orange Engine Number: L28-695755 Exterior: This car was originally Color code 918 Orange. There are still spots on the car that the original paint can be seen peeking through. It has since been repainted red and the paint shows nicely. I would call this a driver’s quality paint. I believe this car was painted about 15 years ago. This car shows no signs of any rust or accidents. There are a couple of bubbles that are starting to show on the bottom of the driver’s fender. I have taken pictures of that area. All of the doors, windows, trunk and hood open and close properly. The front bumper does not have the side mounting bolts attached. The spare tire well is in excellent solid condition. It still has its original orange paint peeking through. Interior: The interior to this car is also in nice shape, original and it is complete. The Speedometer and tachometer do not work and the radio has been taken out of the car. All of the other gauges are working properly. The windows roll up and down easily. All of the reverse lights, headlights, brake lights all work. Engine/Transmission: This car had the engine rebuilt by the prior owner. He has owned the car since the 1990’s and took very good care of it. The transmission is a 5spd transmission that shifts smoothly into all of the gears. The engine starts right up and makes very good power. This car is fitted with a sport exhaust and it sounds fantastic. This is a solid running and driving early 240z. Overall: It is getting hard to find clean Series 1 240z’s. This is a great chance to get into a driver’s quality car. This would be a great car to drive, return to its original orange, or modify to your liking. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
